Panasonic CityNOW Diorama
Projection Mapped Model City for the Consumer Electronics Show

About:  CityNOW is the smart city of tomorrow. Here today. We’re driving transformational change for municipalities, their residents and private developers through public-private partnerships designed to optimize the management and deployment of city services, enhance peoples’ lives and reduce energy consumption.

Challenge:  As part of the Consumer Electronics Show in 2017, and in partnership with Velocity Communications, Inter-tain Productions, and Andy Warfel Design & Creative, we were tasked with creating an interactive model to showcase Panasonic's Smart City initiative. CityNOW includes many large scale installations, from public wifi infrastructure to centrally controlled traffic via smart car sensors.

Solution:  We created a 4' x 12' white model/diorama to serve as a canvas for a projection mapping. Using multiple 4k projectors, sound, lights, and video, we created an all-inclusive space to condense all of the Smart City initiatives to one storyline.

Arthur Andersen Gallery
Permanent Historical Exhibit for the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign

About:  In 1913, Arthur Andersen opened doors to the history of accountancy when he established the firm bearing his name. One hundred years later, the University of Illinois College of Business dedicated the Arthur Andersen Gallery, an exhibit that explores that history through the story of one of the earliest and largest public accounting firms.

Challenge:  While the history of the Andersen Company is essentially the history of modern accounting, the firm's involvement in one of the biggest banking scandals of the past half century has tainted the companies image. Our goal with the Andersen Gallery was to pay homage to the impact of the company on the field of accounting, but also keeping a subdued experience to acknowledge the disruption they have caused.

Solution:  We designed four glass display cases to showcase artifacts of Andersen's history, including their infamous double entry doors. The rest is displayed prominently, but in a classroom and lounge. The space is both functional and decorative, using subdued tones and a very classic aesthetic.

Result:  The Arthur Andersen Gallery was dedicated on September 27, 2013. The Gallery is located on the fourth floor of the Business Instructional Facility.
